Three Times The Fun!

Three Girls Turning Three, One Word = Triplets!

TripletsEach girl had a ‘favourite’. A favourite Winnie, a favourite Ladybug, a favourite Panda. Each ‘favourite’ came true with this forest of creatures. I wanted to keep all the cakes similar in design to avoid any sibling rivalry.

Flavours:

  • 5″ round marble cake with purple vanilla buttercream icing

Elmo Loves You!

My son turned *2* this year and has a l-o-v-e of all things Elmo.

What a better sweet treat to share with his friends than personal Elmo cupcakes! I think they liked them, well at least the icing.  It was the first thing to get licked off! A boy after my own heart.

Pink Princess

Every little girl wants to be a Princess….

This little darling is no exception!  I did get a special message from her Mom, “Make sure she knows I like pink AND purple!” Request fulfilled.  Especially with the pink buttercream filling and purple sparkly tiara! How fun! Now, let’s hope she finds her ‘Prince’ one day!

The Bella Cake

An ode to New Moon, from The Twilight Saga.

bella-final

I will admit, I am in my thirties and I am in love with The Twilight Saga.  Sure, call me what you wish, however there are a whole team of women (you know who you are) who love the Series as much as I do.  So much, in fact, that we chat about it at length. When it came time for a good friend to celebrate her 30-something-ish birthday, I thought this cake would be fitting for the occasion.

It is a replica of Bella’s Birthday cake from the movie. See a picture of the real one here Of course, I replaced Bella’s name with the Birthday Girl’s!

Flavours:

  • Bottom tier: Red Velvet cake (fitting for a vampire) with Chocolate Ganache Buttercream
  • Middle and Top tiers: Vanilla cake with Vanilla Buttercream

Happy *1st* Birthday!

When my son turned ONE, of course we celebrated with CAKE! It turned out to be a jungle theme! He had so much fun and sure loved his first taste of Mommy’s sweet confection!  Perhaps it will run in the genes!rostonbday-1-final

The RON Golf Cake

A golf-themed event needed a golf-theme cake! So appropriate! For Scott’s Dad’s 70th birthday - everyone loved this “grass green” cake!

Flavours:

  • Vanilla cake with fresh lemon curd filling

The ANDY Cake

For Andy’s 1st birthday, her Mom requested a frog-themed cake. The frog was sculpted out of fondant and completely edible!
