I (heart) Bridal Showers!

I loved this bridal shower order….so whimsical and lovely! Just like the bodice of a lovely wedding dress.  So ‘fitting’ for the day!

Catch a Snowflake on your tongue!

Guaranteed tastier than the real ones.  And why not ad Frosty and some whimsical ornaments to top off the holiday season!?

A School of Fish

I happened across of a school of fish in my kitchen one day….except these ones are tasty!

Margaritaville

I had a bit of extra dough and icing (heaven forbid any of this goodness gets wasted), so I whipped these cookies up for my hubby’s colleagues. These Margaritas wouldn’t be complete without a salted rim ( sugar actually….although it disguised itself as salt)!

Sarah’s Baby Shower

This post is more of a ’show piece’ than it is anything.  I had nothing to do with the below decorating or cookie making.  It was all the work of my Mom, and best friend who happens to be a Graphic Designer by trade.  The final result, the most luxurious Baby Shower a girl could ask for!

I suppose I must get my love of fine baking from somewhere.  My Mom and Dad (yes, it was a joint venture) created the lovely ‘take-home’ Teddy Bear cookie favours.  They were Tequila flavoured cookies with chocolate icing.  Delcicious! My friend did all the conceptual and Graphic Design work.  Truly amazing.  There were numerous other people involved in this day, including my wonderful Husband who did all the photography and coordination. Mel’s Bridal Shower

It was a lingerie theme, so I figured swimsuits were just “fitting”!  These cookies are great favours for a party and always a hit with the ladies!

A Girl’s Get-Together!

Of course a girlie get-together is not complete without some sweets! I thought these lingerie themed cookies were so appropriate for the theme of the evening!

Welcome Neighbour!

Nothing says ‘Friendly Neighbour’ like a tin of warm chewy chocolate chip cookies.

We built a home with a local homebuilder, and by doing this, everyone is new to the neighbourhood. It was a great experience, but moving into your home in the heart of winter doesn’t make for good socializing.  My husband and I thought up this nifty idea to welcome our neighbours to the neighbourhood.

welcome-cookNot only did it say “Hi!” to them from us but it gave them our names and phone number (You can’t see this as I blanked it out on the diamond shaped paper inside the box). Not to mention the handy paint can can be reused at a later date for painting their newly built home! (I’m a Designer, always thinking outside the box or can so to speak!)
